Daryl C. Wiley, MD, CMD
Dr. Wiley has served as a Board Certified Family Physician in Thomson, Georgia for over 20 years.
As a graduate of MCG, Dr. Wiley currently serves as a MCG Clinical Associate Professor and has been active in teaching medical students in his practice for over 14 years. Dr. Wiley is credentialed as a Certified Medical Director and is an Attending Physician and Director of several nursing facilities in the CSRA. Dr. Wiley has also served as an Attending Physician and Board Member at McDuffie Regional Medical Center since 1991.
Dr. Wiley earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, and a medical degree from MCG in 1988. He was honored in 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine as an Alumni Inductee into the Georgia Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. In 2009, Dr. Wiley was awarded the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians (GAFP) Family Medicine Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Wiley's "philosophy of medicine is simple, God is the creator of everything. We as physicians have been given talents which we have the responsibility of maximizing. As a family physician I feel my responsibility is to provide comprehensive, complete care in a way that I would want my family treated."

Chris Sheppard, MD
Dr. Sheppard is the newest physician member of Family Care Group's Medical Staff. On January 4, 2010 he joined the Thomson practice. Dr. Sheppard is a 1998 graduate of The Medical College of Georgia where he specialized in Internal Medicine. He has been practicing medicine in an rural office and hospital setting in Louisville, Georgia for the last 8 years. Dr. Sheppard enjoys practicing in a smaller town because it provides a more traditional doctor patient relationship. We are thrilled to have Dr. Sheppard as our newest addition. He brings a wealth of experience as well as personal commitment to providing the best care for his patients.
Scott Stamper, RN, FNP
Scott Stamper joined Family Care Group in 2002. Scott is a Board Certified Pediatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The Medical College of Georgia. Scott then went on to pursue his Advanced Nursing Degree at The Medical College of Georgia where he earned his Masters of Nursing in Pediatrics in 1998 as well as his Masters of Nursing in Family Medicine in 2006. Scott is Board Certified by the Nation Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Nurses.
Scott has proudly served the McDuffie County and surrounding area and has won “Best of McDuffie County” awards on numerous occasions. Scott’s commitment to his patients and the community is unsurpassed.
Michael McDaniel, Physician Assistant
Michael McDaniel is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. He has been with Family Care Group of Thomson since 2006. He began his medical career and training as an EMT in 1995. While working as an EMT he continued to pursue his dreams of a medical career and in 2005 graduated from MCG as a Board Certified Physician Assistant. Michael now enjoys the Family Practice environment in Thomson and Lincolnton and caring for patients of all ages. Michael truly has a gift of bonding with each of his patients. He brings experience and a lively and dynamic element to Family Care Group of Thomson. Michael has been a welcomed addition to the medical staff in Thomson and the surrounding community he is serving.
Mary Judith Allen, DO
Dr. Mary Judith Allen joined Family Care Group in 2016. Dr. Allen specializes in Pediatrics and Neonatology and is Board Certified. Dr. Allen completed her undergraduate degree at Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later attended Georgia Southern University completing her Masters of Science in Nursing. Dr. Allen then attended Nova Southern University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. Dr. Allen completed her Fellowship at the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Program at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Allen enjoys spending time on her farm in McDuffie County as well as with family throughout the Southeast. Dr. Allen is the first Pediatrician at Family Care Group and is seeing patients at the 2508 University Drive location in Thomson. She is actively taking new pediatric patients as well as walk ins.
